The latest global academic rankings released: SUST ranks TOP100 in mainland China

On July 24, 2021, the Nature Index updated the latest global academic rankings. The data statistics time is: May 1, 2020 to April 1, 2021. According to the ranking of contribution, Shaanxi University of Science and Technology ranks 100th in mainland China, with 51 articles and a contribution index of 26.69; our school's chemistry discipline ranks 82nd in Chinese universities with 36 articles and a contribution index of 19.26, showing that the school is in High-quality scientific research output in the field of natural sciences.

Introduction to Natural Index:
The Nature Index was first released in November 2014, tracking the author information of scientific papers published in high-quality natural science journals. Since June 2018, the number of journals included in the index has increased from 68 to 82.
The Natural Index uses two methods to calculate the output of papers:
•Article count (AC)-Regardless the number of authors in one article, each author's country or institution will get 1 AC score.
•Fractional count (FC)-FC takes into account the relative contribution of each author. The total FC score of an article is at most 1. In the case that every author has the same contribution, all authors share the score. For example, if a paper has ten authors, the FC score for each author is 0.1.
