The 4th International Symposium on Energy and Environmental Photocatalytic Materials (EEPM4), jointly organized by Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, China University of Geosciences, Yan'an University, Yancheng Institute of Technology, Changsha University, and Shaanxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Green Preparation and Functionalization of Inorganic Materials was held in Xi'an and Yan'an from July 25th to 29th, 2021.
Professor YU Jiaguo, ZHANG Jinlong, Detlef Bahnemann and Masakazu Anpo, Academicians of the European Academy of Sciences; Professor Wonyong Choi, Academician of the Korean Academy of Sciences; Professor Hiromi Yamashita, Chairman of the Catalysis Society of Japan; Professor Kazunari Domen, Distinguished Professor of the University of Tokyo and Shinshu University, and National Outstanding Youth Professors have attended the conference as well as given reports.
Professor HUANG Jianfeng, the vice president of SUST, has attended the opening ceremony and delivered the speech. Professor WANG Chuanyi, the academic dean of the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, served as the chair of the conference and presided over the opening ceremony. More than 300 representatives from universities, scientific research institutes and well-known companies from 11 countries including China, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland, the Czech Republic, Greece, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Israel, etc. have participated in the event online and offline.
Professor HUANG Jianfeng, Vice President of SUST attended the meeting and delivered the speech
The participating experts focused on the various research directions such as photocatalytic materials, chemical defects of photocatalytic materials, surface/interface and band gap engineering of photocatalytic materials, morphology and facet adjustment of photocatalytic materials, new strategies for synthesis and engineering of photocatalytic materials, photo/electrocatalytic synthesis of value-added molecules, photo/electrocatalytic water splitting or carbon dioxide conversion, and photo/electrocatalysis for environmental remediation during the conference.
Professor ZHANG Jinlong, Academician of the European Academy of Sciences, made a report
The conference has 12 plenary speech reports, 40 keynote reports, 55 invited reports, 59 oral reports and 60 poster exhibitions which provide a communication platform for scholars studying energy and environmental photocatalytic materials at home and abroad. The successful holding of this conference will conducive to the in-depth development of international cooperation and exchanges on energy and environmental governance, help to provide industry, society and government with new ideas for solving energy and environmental issues, and enhance sustainable development and the ability of responding to global energy and environmental issues. Meanwhile, this conference will also help the College of Environmental Science and Engineering of our university to condense the direction of discipline development, highlight the key points of discipline construction, stimulate the school's innovative vitality, and enhance the comprehensive strength and international competitiveness of our school's environmental disciplines and provide help to cultivate first-class talents, and produce first-class research results.
News tips:
The International Symposium on Energy and Environmental Photocatalytic Materials is a series of conferences. The first and second sessions(EEPM1, EEPM2) were held at Wuhan University of Technology, and the third conference (EEPM3) was held at Jagiellonian University in Poland. The conference is committed to create an interdisciplinary, borderless, and richly-formed pure academic exchange seminar which focus on light absorption, solar energy conversion and storage, environmental remediation, clean technology and sustainable chemistry, basic and applied research in photocatalysis and photocatalytic reactions .
